Arapahoe fourth graders held an Open House Friday, February 5th in the Commons area with several students showcasing their projects after completing the novel “Because of WinnDixie”. ARAPAHOE — The Regular Arapahoe-Holbrook School Board Meeting was called to order by board president Lisa Anderson on February 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. and adjourned at 10:02 p.m. All board members were present. Others in attendance were Dr. George Griffin (Superintendent), Rudy Perez (Principal), who arrived upon his return from the State Bowling Tournament, Cassie Hilker (Business Manager), Alese Williams (Student Council Member), and Keith and Christina Maaske (Hunting Lawn Care).

Warren Eldred “Wuzzy” Harper, age 8o, passed away at his home in Holbrook, Nebraska on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Wuzzy was born November 28, 1940 in Clay Center, Kansas, son of Charles Eldred “Ike” Harper and Nellie Harper.

Memorial Service for Dale D. Murdoch was held on Monday, February 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastors Murray Jones, Doug Reed, and David Oldham officiating. Inurnment was held at the Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege following the service, with Military Honors provided by the Martin-Horn American Legion Post #66 in conjunction with the United States Navy Military Funeral Honors Team. Face coverings were kindly encouraged.

25 Years Ago February 15, 1996 The Southern Valley Eagles qualified 7 wrestlers for the state wrestling tournament at the district tournament in Hershey February 9 and 10.
