Arapahoe National Honor Society raises funds for a makerspace

Every year the Arapahoe Chapter of the National Honor Society sponsors an annual literacy project. When faculty sponsor Marcia Foley asked Arapahoe Public School Librarian Elizabeth Klein about a project that could benefit the library, a makerspace immediately came to mind.
The Arapahoe Chapter of the National Honor Society sponsored a K-12 coin war to raise money for STEAM education for the elementary school. Each class was encouraged to bring coins to collect for the challenge.
