Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, February 1, 2021. Council Member Kevin Banzhaf was absent.

BEAVER CITY — Mayor Leighton Schmidt presided over the regular Beaver City Council meeting on February 1, 2021. Council members Roger Powell, Quinn Balms, Becky Robinson, and Chris Joppa were present.

Southern Valley senior Makayla Schoen has earned the Kearney Health Opportunities Program (KHOP) scholarship. This is a full tuition scholarship for UNK.

The Oxford Board approved putting some Village owned properties up for bid at their regular meeting on Monday evening. The Village will be putting the properties up on a Request for Proposal (RFP).

Funds remain for Rehab!!!! The Village of Oxford has funds remaining for the owner-occupied housing rehabilitation program to rehabilitate 5 homes within the municipal limits of Oxford. Homeowners must live in the home and be income qualified.

INDIANOLA - The Indianola City Council met Monday to approve a bid for the interior water tower inspection and to discuss other maintenance items. After approval of the minutes and claims, the Council discussed three different bids for the interior water tower inspection, which includes a diver that climbs to the top of the tower, then descends down inside it.

It’s February! Already! Where did January go? When I wrote last week’s column, we had received a nice snow, about 5-6 inches. The next day brought another 2 to 3 inches which also stayed where it fell.
