100 Years Ago March 17, 1921 Harvey Thompson and Joe Webber put on their initial Poland China bred sow sale at the Oxford Auditorium. A move was underway to organize the Oxford Chamber of Commerce.

10 years ago Isabella Ryan of Indianola won first place in her age group on the Knights of Columbus District Hoop Shoot contest and is now eligible to compete in the State Contest in Hastings on March 27. A benefit fundraiser is planned for April 9 at Fibber’s in Danbury for the family of Josh and Tam Lammie to help with Josh’s untimely death.
