The Oxford Library will be hosting ‘Let’s Create’ by the Nebraska Extension on Thursdays during the month of May. Youth attending will create a project and learn about art and design. There is an old stone house that sits just south of Beaver City that was built by Watson Kinsman in the 1870's. Mr. Kinsman came to Beaver city one year after the town was founded in 1872. He also built several buildings in the town including the Method-ist Church and the first two story building on the Northeast corner which served as a hardware store and now is occupied by the Strayer Motor Company.

Oxford - The Oxford Jr. Feeders 4-H club helped with Oxford’s community wide clean up day on Saturday, April 24. Their organization was given $250 by ACE for their efforts in helping the community. ACE, Public Alliance for Community Energy, is a community owned gas supplier that takes part in the choice gas program and puts money back into the communities. Oxford Jr Feeder members helping on Saturday were (Left to Right): Natalie Holste, Blake Holste, Sarah Holste, Brynn Baily, Haley Fries, Addilynn Aerni.
