BERTRAND - The Hi-Line track and field team hit the road for Bertrand on Monday. The weather warmed up Monday for the Bertrand Invite and the scoring rose with the temperatures for the girls as they scored 30 points to finish ninth in the team race.

The last time that Congress acted on a measure containing the words “Kansas-Nebraska,” it became one of the major catalysts for the Civil War, So it should come as no surprise that establishing a Kansas-Nebraska National Heritage Area (NHA) has become a political hot potato. Like the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854, establishing the proposed NHA would literally require an Act of Congress.

Southern Valley wins Alma Invite by a stroke

ALMA - The Southern Valley boys golf team came out on top of a five-team battle for first at the Alma Invite Monday. The Eagles shot a 359 to finish first, beating out Franklin, which shot a 360, Elm Creek and Overton, which each finished with scored of 362, and Alma, which finished with a 370.
