BENKELMAN - With all five team members placing in the top 10 individuals, the Southern Valley boys golf team captured the RPAC Golf Championship Thursday at Benkleman. The Eagles shot a round of 360 to beat out Alma by four strokes and take the title.

The Eagles’ Clayton Berry won both the 110 hurdles and the long jump at RPAC. Cambridge’s Domonic Ayer fi nished fourth in the shot put last week.

Southwest’s Kiana Martin fi nished fifth in the shot put at RPAC Friday. Cambridge’s Paige Klumpe took first in the high jump at the RPAC Meet Friday.

SCOTTSBLUFF —Players have been selected for the East and West teams for the 43rd Annual West Nebraska All-Star Football Game and the 37th Annual West Nebraska All-Star Volleyball Game. Selected athletes were nominated by their respective high school coaches and selected by the 2021 All-Star coaching staff to participate.

10 years ago Dan Schaben, math instructor at Arapahoe Public Schools, is one of 32 teachers from across Nebraska that has been awarded Robert Noyce National Science Foundation Master Teaching Fellowships by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. 10 years ago Country Drawers held an open house and grant opening to debut its new store in Holbrook. Owner Tara Gross moved to Holbrook because there wasn’t enough room for the inventory.
