Servsafe manager training to be offered

Food safety is in the news! Numerous food borne illnesses have occurred during the last few years. Most of the reported food borne illness outbreaks have occurred from food eaten away from home. ServSafe is a program developed by the National Restaurant Association to address the growing food safety concerns of consumers. In Nebraska, the program is being implemented in cooperation with the Agriculture and Health Departments, the Nebraska Restaurant Association and Nebraska Extension.

Cambridge City Council Approves Budget

Cambridge City Council met on September 8, 2021 at 5:30 for a budget hearing. No members of the public were in attendance. All Council members were present. City Clerk/Treasurer Kandra Kinne provided some highlights of the budget for Council Members. Council members then reviewed the proposed budget and held discussion on some budget items. The public hearing closed at 5:57 pm.

Borland attends 30th Anniversary Celebration of Teammates

Kyle Borland, CHS class of 2021 and TeamMates Scholarship recipient, was invited to attend the 30th Anniversary Celebration of TeamMates at the Cornhusker vs. Buffalo football game held on September 11 in Lincoln. Kyle’s TeamMates mentor John Pick attended the celebration with him where they were honored on the field before kickoff. Kyle is shown with TeamMates founder, Coach Tom Osborne, who recognized each scholarship recipient. TeamMates provides over $3 million in scholarships annually to students to support their post secondary education plans.
