On Saturday, Ida Soncksen, Lana Hilker and Viki Warner took Kate Meyers out for lunch in honor of her birthday at Lakeshore Marina at Republican City and watched the Husker football game as they ate.

Aliyah Jauken Watch Party

On September 14th at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, in Elwood, a Watch Party will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. You can watch an interview with Dewey Nelson and KRVN and also NTV. Aliyah Jauken, daughter of Kristy Jauken and Sean Jauken, has a very rare skin disease called Congenital Erosive and Vesicular Dermatosis (CEVD). It is very rare and only 31 other people were born with it since 1985. It is a condition where the scarring is on 75% of their body. Some of the scarring causes tightness, which is her case. She has had surgery to release the tightness on her arm and has had 3 surgeries on one leg and has also had surgery done on both her eyes to help save/heal her cornea. Her eyes only open less than 50%. It is believed she will need several surgeries in order to keep up with her growth.
