sv dissolves cross-country co-op

The Southern Valley Board of Education voted 5 – 0 to dissolve their co-op for cross country with Alma school during their Monday, November 8 meeting. The board heard from Superintendent Bryce Jorgenson, Southern Valley cross country coach Kristi Bose and some parents and students. Several members of the cross-country team were at the meeting. Jorgenson told the board the pros and cons of the co-op. During the meeting a message was received that Alma also voted in favor of dissolving the co-op.

Fine Arts on Display

Southern Valley High School held their annual Fall Fine Arts Festival on Tuesday, Nov 2. The evening began with a performance of the one act play, Marmalade Gumdrop. The evening also had performances from the junior high and high school choirs as well as the high school band. Art displays were also set up for those attending to see. Pictured during the one act play are: Lily Holste, Laurel Stalder, Brianna Russell, Elizabeth Meyers, Brianna Jorgenson.

The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees met on Friday, November 5 at 7:30 am. The board approved a resolution for liens against properties for nuisance expenses incurred.
