BARTLEY – By all accounts, the Village of Bartley Board Meetings aren’t known to be particularly animated. But Tuesday’s meeting might have proved an exception.
The Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) has announced the latest recipients under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program’s Downtown Revitalization funding opportunity. Five communities have been selected to receive a portion of the $2,175,000 available for award.
ARAPAHOE – Earlier this month, the Arapahoe- Holbrook School Board hired a new superintendent for the 2022-2023 school year. Bob Drews, who is currently serving his 16 year as the high school principal in the Holdrege Public School District, will assume his new position as the chief administrator next summer.
HOLDREGE - In a district final match short on drama, the Cambridge volleyball team leaned on its defense and took control early while rolling to a 25-19, 25-22, 25-18 sweep of Central Valley Saturday, clinching a berth in this week’s Class D1 State Volleyball Tournament in Lincoln.
ARAPAHOE- Friday evening featured a matchup between two incredibly physical teams in the second round of the NSAA D1 playoffs as the third seeded Arapahoe Warriors hosted fourteenth seeded Perkins County. Unfortunately for the Warriors, their season came to a close with a 37-28 loss.
