Cambridge Council hears of proposed development

Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, November 1, 2021. Council Member Mike Harris was absent for the beginning of the meeting, but came later. After beginning the meeting, Council approved the Consent Agenda items and appointed Daniel Paisley to the Park Board. Council then approved the Library Board Minutes as reported.

AMHERST- Monday evening was the first day of the C2-10 subdistrict tournament in Amherst. The first match of the evening featured No. 1 seeded Amherst taking on fourth-seeded Hi-Line. Amherst took care of business quickly winning in three sets, 25-12, 25-11, and 25-18.

CAMBRIDGE - The Southwest volleyball team opened Subdistrict D1-12 play Friday with a dominant 25-12, 25-10, 25-10 victory over third-seeded Hitchcock County. The Roughriders dominated the match form the start, racing out to the lead in each set while coasting to the finish comfortably for their 19th win of the season.

CAMBRIDGE - The Arapahoe volleyball team saw its season come to a close Monday at the Subdistrict D1- 12 Tournament in Cambridge. The fourth-seeded Warriors dropped their opener of the tournament to top-seeded Cambridge, 25-8, 25-12, 25-15.

BENKELMAN - The Cambridge football team saw its season come to a swift close Thursday night in the opening round of the Class D1 Playoffs at Dundy County-Stratton. Cambridge turned the ball over eight times and the Tigers made little waste of abundant opportunities, scoring 28 in the opening quarter and 38 more in the second quarter to roll away to a 66-8 victory.

BARTLEY - For Homecoming, the Southwest football team put on its best show of fireworks. The Roughriders put up nearly 500 yards of offense and scored six times, but it wasn't enough as visiting Wallace left town with a 78-42 victory that closed the 'Riders season at 1-7.

EUSTIS - Things can change quite a bit in the span of six weeks. In mid-September, Hi-Line hosted Sutherland and dropped the Sailors to 0-3 with a 44-24 victory in which they ran all over the Sailors in rolling away late to victory.
