Arapahoe-Holbrook to Hire an Elementary Principal

Body ARAPAHOE – During th monthly meeting on December 13, 2021, the board held an executive session to discus teacher salaries for the 2022-2023 school year. Board members met with members of the Arapahoe Education Association (AEA) earlier this month to discuss negotiations.

Body BARTLEY – Prior to the village board meeting, two public hearings were held in Bartley on December 14, 2021. Jenny Kozal represented Street Superintendent Chris Miller of Miller & Associates during the 1&6 Year Street Improvement Public Hearing.

November Firearm Deer Harvest Lower Than Last Year

Body LINCOLN, Neb. – Preliminary Nebraska deer check-in numbers indicate statewide harvest is down 12 percent compared to 2020 for the November firearm season. During the nine-day season, 37,053 deer were harvested, compared to 42,078 in 2020.

Elwood School Board approves principal contract

Body ELWOOD – With two school board members absent and one of the members in attendance not feeling well, the January 13, 2021 school board meeting was shorter than usual. Several agenda items were tabled, and the meeting was adjourned after 15 minutes.
