The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. The staff will continue to make your visit here, either while participating in the activities or eating our noon meal, as positive and enjoyable as can be. Thanks for your support.

Central Community College Fall Honor Lists

(Grand Island, Neb.) – Central Community College has announced the names of full-time students who earned spots on the President’s and Dean’s honor lists for the 2021 fall semester. The students were enrolled at one or more CCC locations, which include the Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses; Holdrege, Kearney and Lexington centers; and Ord Learning Center.

Funding Available for Farmers to Establish Soil Health Demonstration Projects

Lincoln, Neb., Jan. 12, 2022 – _The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is continuing an effort to enhance the adoption of soil health practices through the establishment of Soil Health Management Demonstration Projects. Landowners interested in applying for funding to establish a soil health demonstration project should submit their application to NRCS by Feb. 18, 2022.

Jimmie and Monta Rae Fuller will celebrate their 65 Wedding Anniversary on January 28 2022. A pre celebration party was held with family in Arizona over the holidays. Jimmie Fuller (of Wilsonville, Nebr.) and Monta Rae Pywell (of Norton, KS.) were married in Riverside, CA. in 1957 and have resided in Bloomington, CA since. They have two daughters: Ginger Elliott, Valerie Onken, son in law Mike Onken, three grandchildren and their spouses and one great grand grandson.
