A huge first quarter wasn’t quite enough to lead the Hi-Line boys basketball team to a victory at South Loup Friday as the Bobcats rallied from a 22-point deficit to win win 74-70 in overtime. The Bulls had jumped all over the Bobcats in the opening quarter, racing to a 29-7 lead through one.

ARAPAHOE - The Arapahoe boys basketball team dropped a home contest with Bertrand Friday, 78-40. The Vikings lit up the scoreboard throughout the contest as they built a 31-16 lead at the half and expanded the margin to 50-38 to the fourth quarter.

The Cambridge boys basketball team split with Alma and Chase County over the weekend, taking down the Cardinals 68-57 on Friday before falling 76-45 to Chase County on Saturday. AMHERST - The Southern Valley girls basketball team avenged an earlier loss to South Loup with a 52-37 victory Tuesday night in the first round of the C2-10 Sub-district Tournament. The Eagles used a 21-point second quarter to blow open a 36-20 lead at the half.
