Bulls go 1-1 at FKC Tourney

The Hi-Line boys basketball team used a big first half to advance past Overton in th first round of the FKC Tournament Saturday, then fell to Amherst in the quarterfinal round Tuesday. The Bulls, now 7-11, put up 30 points in the first half and claimed a 30-17 lead at the break, then coasted to a 54-38 win over Overton.

Southwest medals all five at Red Cloud

RED CLOUD - All four Southwest wrestlers emdaled at the Warcat Invite in Red Cloud Saturday. Carter Van Pelt led the Roughriders with a first-place finish and remained unbeaten this season while Jacob Kerns and Clayton Hardy each took second.
The Hi-Line girls basketball team dropped its FKC Tournament opener against Loomis Saturday, 64-25, then fell in a consolation game Monday to Elm Creek, 53-32. Zoey Evans (pictured above) led the bUlls with seven points in Saturday’s contest while Kelsey Shotkoski scored six. Genesee Knackstedt (pictured below) had a team-high three steals in the contest with Loomis.
