25 Years Ago March 6, 1997 Donna Dixon retired February 28 after 16 years as Furnas County Clerk Magistrate. The Beaver City Fire Department responded to a tractor fire at the Dennis Clason farm Monday.

Roger Zink, 83, a lifetime resident of Indianola, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday afternoon, February 26, 2022 at the Christian Homes Care Community in Holdrege, Nebraska. He was born to Aulis Jay and Mildred Faye (Meyers) Zink on January 6, 1939 in McCook, Nebraska.

Russell Eugene Hilker, son of Martin H. Hilker and Mabel E. (Olson) Hilker was born in Arapahoe, NE on July 18, 1934 and entered into rest in Shenandoah, IA on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the age of 87.

Lola June Debban, age 86, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Elwood Care Center in Elwood, Nebraska. She was born on December 7, 1935 at Holbrook, Nebraska to Ernest & Marie (Noltensmeier) Boyd.

A Memorial Service for Mary A. Runck will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oxford First Baptist Church in Oxford, Nebraska, with Pastor Brian Jenkins officiating. A private family inurnment will be held prior to the service at the Alma Cemetery, Alma, Nebraska.

A Memorial Service for Doris L. (Hanson) Hollinger will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Moses Hill Evangelical Covenant Church in rural Loomis, Nebraska, with Mr. Dave Thorell officiating. An inurnment will follow at the Moses Hill Cemetery, following the service.
