The American Legion Post 96 Cookout was held in the Arapahoe Park on Memorial Day with a good crowd attending following the Memorial service at the cemetery. Burgers, brats, baked beans, potato salad and drinks were served.

Virginia Cookson’s visitors over the weekend were John and Wanda Lewis of Iowa and their son Jim. Monday evening, Virginia shared the Blue Room with the Whitson family and friends to celebrate Hannah Whitson’s 18th birthday. She will be attending Nebraska Wesleyan this fall.

LINCOLN, NE (May 24, 2022) - Nebraska Cattlemen Foundation (NCF) announced they awarded over $56,000 in scholarships to help the next generation of the agriculture industry in their academic pursuits. The scholarships were awarded to fifty-one distinguished students.
