Body NORTH PLATTE - The Southern Valley boys golf team finished eighth and the four of the six local golfers that qualified finished in the top half of the field at the Class D State Golf Tournament last week.

Body The West Girls and Boys took both of the 2022 CSO Allstar Game wins Friday night, but the East put up a good fight. The East Girls scored 36 while the West Girls scored 47. For the most part the East girls kept the deficit in the single digits, but they couldn’t pull ahead.

Body 25 Years Ago May 29, 1997 Phil Lueking, representing Southern Valley at the State Track Meet, placed first in the Class C shot put by throwing a distance of 61’ 6-1/4”, setting a state record and winning the all-class gold medal in the shot put.
