The Oxford Alumni Association held their all school banquet on Saturday, May 28 with about 140 people attending. Honored classes were those that graduated with years ending in a two. Part of the business taken care of during the meeting portion of the evening was a restructuring of the leadership.

Local resident Lee Long sings the Star Spangled Banner during Memorial Day Services at the Oxford Cemetery Monday, May 30. Speaker for the service was Southern Valley Senior Keira Wasenius and a flyover was perfectly timed at the end by Royce Bose.

The Beaver City Chamber of Commerce dedicated a bench at the northeast corner of Gazebo Park on May 27 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the town’s founding. It was built by Stalder Repair of Beaver City and the logo was designed by Ashley and Kelly Blickenstaff of Stamford.
