Boys wrestling district assignments announced

LINCOLN - The Nebraska School Activities Association released the district pairings for the Boys Class D wrestling district tournaments in February. Southern Valley was selected to host the District D-2 Tournament, which will include the host Eagles as well as Hi-Line and Arapahoe.

Veterans from around the area, along with family, friends, and community members were on hand for the Flag Raising Ceremony held in Holbrook on November 11th. This recently established Veterans Memorial will be part of the Purple Heart Trail, which stretches across the United States and Guam.

Cambridge Public Schools honors veterans

At its annual Veteran’s Day service Friday, Cambridge Public Schools honored four veterans from the area and heard a keynote address from Nathan Witt, an army chaplain who was wrapping up deployment to Jordan. The program also includes patriotic musical numbers from K-12 students as well as the high school band.
