UNK announces Spring Dean’s List

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Students earn a 4.0 for an “A,” 3.0 for a “B” and 2.0 for a “C.”

America 250! Marker Dedication June 10 at Gosper Coumty Courthouse

Elwood, NE – On Saturday, June 10, 2023 the Omaha Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, will dedicate their America 250! Marker at Gosper County Courthouse, 507 Smith Avenue, Elwood, NE 68937. The dedication will take place at 1:00 pm CT with a reception to follow, hosted by the Bonneville Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Elwood Farmer’s Market begins June 18

TVHS auxiliary awards nursing scholarships

The Cambridge Memorial Hospital Auxiliary met May 16th and enjoyed a lunch provided by the hospital. During the business meeting, the 2023 nursing scholarship recipients were announced, namely Brittany Alexander, Raelynn Minary and Chloe Besler. The scholarship is named in honor of long-time nurse and active Thrift Shop volunteer, Maxine Price. The Auxiliary scholarship is awarded to TVHS employees who are pursuing nursing careers. Each student will receive a $500 scholarship.

Furnas County GOP will meet June 12 at Wilsonville

The Furnas County GOP will meet Monday June 12th at the Community Center in Wilsonville. Individuals who are registered Republicans are invited to attend. The building will open at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting will convene at 7:00 p.m.
