(Hastings, Neb.) – About 250 new and returning students have received scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year at Central Community College-Hastings. They are: Bernice Blomenkamp Smith Scholarship: ARAPAHOE: Adrienne Bowers.

The Arapahoe Trinity Luthera Church held Vacation Bible School last week with several children enjoying the weeklong activities including (right) making these blankets to give to the Orphan Grain Train. They learned about Daniel’s Courage in Captivity, sang some songs, made crafts and played a few games. The closing program was held on Friday morning with a hotdog lunch following in the fellowship hall.

Summer Happenings in Edison will be Food Truck Fridays. Millie Stagemeyer will be celebrating her 93rd birthday on June 28, 2023. Her family is requesting a card shower to observe her special day.

The family of Viva Hutchens is hosting a card shower to honor her on her 95th birthday on June 24th. Cards will reach her at 505 E.

Robert Jerman, 86, of Absarokee, Montana, passed away on May 1, 2023. He was born on Nov. 28, 1936, in Fresno, California to parents who would raise a man that embodied resilience, curiosity, and an unwavering love for adventure.
