Everyone is in for a real treat at this year’s Haigler Summer Music Festival. The weather will be grand, the park will be green, the food (including homemade pies and ice cream) will be delicious, and the music will be fantastic!

Diabetic Support Group to meet Aug. 30

McCook, Neb.—Community Hospital’s diabetic support group will meet Wednesday, August 30 at 6 p.m. in the Prairie View A meeting room. Terrie Unger, RN, Community Hospital Diabetic Educator, and Pat Rice, RD, Community Hospital Registered Dietitian will discuss “What’s New in Diabetes Treatments.”

NCTA celebrate Summer ‘23

By Andela Taylor/NCTA news Before kicking off the 202324 academic year in just a few days, Aggies, faculty, and staff say goodbye to a glorious summer on campus at NCTA in Curtis and at the beloved Leu Ranch 20 minutes west in Hayes County. These past months were filled with fun, albeit hard work, many notable accomplishments, and exciting announcements to celebrate. NCTA Dean Larry Gossen, Ph.D., and Associate Dean Jennifer McConville, Ed.D. extend their sincere appreciation to the Curtis community and the staff, inviting all local and regional citizens to a celebratory picnic at the student union, “The Barn,” on Sunday, August 20 from 5 to 7 p.m., providing an opportunity to welcome new students.

The 4th Annual Give BIG Elwood takes place on November 9th, 2023. This 24hour day of giving is coordinated locally by the Elwood Area Foundation and is hosted regionally by the Lexington Community Foundation in conjunction with Give BIG Lexington.
