Jane Ellen Davenport Skrdlant Bolling passed away on August 15, 2023 from a stroke. She was born June 18, 1953 the 2nd child of five born to Juddson & Nettie (Payne) Davenport. She and her brother John were the first set of twins born in the old Alma Hospital. She attended Orleans Elementary. She graduated from Cambridge in 1971.

After twenty years, Raider Sam returns to Medicine Valley Public Schools as their school mascot. Medicine Valley made the announcement via a social media video prepared by Josiah Nicklas on Wednesday, August 16.
