I recently attended a wind farm meeting in Farnam, NE, hosted by individuals from Dawson County, NE. They were seeking petition signatures in a last ditch effort to stop the development of weird turbine’s in their county. I think, and they by their own admission, are too late.

There was a military takeover in 2021, and since then, there has been a revolutionary movement across the country– a civil war. Many people have died... Many innocent civilians have been arrested, detained, and killed. Many have lost their eyes, their legs, their hands… it’s terrifying.”

SV Board approves base growth percentage increase

The Southern Valley Board of Education met for their regular meeting on Monday, August 14, 2023 at 8 pm. In the financial report superintendent Bryce Jorgenson said their spending is right at $7.7 million compared to last year at $7.9 million. He said they will be transferring $119,000, but will still be under last year spending.

Benefit held for Beth Buehner

Farnam Fire and Rescue hosted a benefit pork dinner for Beth Buehner, a current Farnam Fire Board member, on Sunday, August 20th at the Farnam Park. Because of the forecasted heat, a drive thru was set up for people to enjoy the meal in air conditioning along with picnic tables available for seating at the park.

Danbury Depot Museum to be open Labor Day

The Danbury Depot Museum will be open Monday, September 4 (Labor Day) from 2:00-4:00. There are many new items on display this summer. The Danbury Through the Years books will be available for purchase. This book is a combination of the Danbury Centennial Book from 1973 and updates and additional information. It was written to commemorate Danbury’s 150th years and includes 118 pages and over 130 photos. More information on the book can be found on the Danbury Depot Museum Facebook page.
