CAMBRIDGE - The Lady Trojans had two more wins this week to make their record 4-1. Last Friday Cambridge took on the South Loup Bobcats and won 49-25, coming back strong after a tough loss to Southern Valley the game before.
The Hi-Line boys basketball team took to the road last week and grabbed a pair of victories, winning at Maxwell in convincing fashion before pulling out a late win at Pleasanton Friday. The Bulls improved to 3-1 on the season.
The Cambridge boys basketball team now have a 4-1 record after their first loss. The Trojans took on South Loup last Friday and lost in overtime 56-66.
OXFORD - The Lady Eagles continue undefeated after winning 59-29 against the Overton Eagles last Saturday. Southern Valley continued their trend of agressive defense and had with fifteen steals, creating several fastbreak opportunities for themselves.
A strong third quarter wasn’t enough to rally past a large halftime deficit at Maxwell for the Hi-Line girls basketball team last week. The Bulls fell into a 39-10 halftime hole before dropping a 57-25 decision to the Wildcats.
The Bartley Board of Trustees reinstated their five board members for 2024 on Tuesday, December 12 and then reconvened for their regular business meeting. Brandon Brott and Cori Hage will retain their positions as chairman and pro tempore, respectively.
Cambridge School Board met in regular session on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. School Board member Trevor Kubik was absent. After the Pledge of Allegiance, the Board excused Kubik. The Board then approved the agenda and the meeting minutes from the November 13, 2023, Board of Education meeting.
MCCOOK - One week after a regular season contest saw Maywood-Hayes Center hold off Southwest in a high-scoring girls basketball showdown, the Wolves and Roughriders tipped off a different brand of basketball in the Cattle Tail Championship game.
