Body The Medicine Valley girls basketball team bounced back from its short appearance in the RPAC tournament with a 2-1 week that included a win over a subdistrict opponent. MV started off the week with a victory on its home court over Mullen last Tuesday.

Body With the postseason looming, the Medicine Valley Raiders went 2-1 last week with wins over Mullen and Wauneta- Palisade. The Raiders jumped all over Mullen (7-9) early, holding the Broncos to one free throw over game’s first 4:15 and taking a 9-1 lead.

Body BARTLEY - In a game that didn’t feature many possessions, the Southwest girls basketball team stumbled in a home defeat to Dundy County-Stratton, 40-39, last Tuesday, dropping their seventh game of the season.

Boys wrestling teams cap regular season at Southwest Invite

Body BARTLEY - All six local wrestling teams wrapped up the regular season at the Southwest invite Friday in Bartley. Hi-Line led local teams with a seventh place finish while Arapahoe was ninth, Southern Valley was 10th and Southwest and Cambridge finished 14th adn 15th.

Body William “Bill” Lee Shearer, age 68, of Arapahoe, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska. He was born on May 14, 1955, at Norton, Kansas, to Leroy William and Merna Marie (Brand) Shearer.
