Body City Clerk/Treasurer Courtney Stanton gave the Council information on EPIC the property tax proposal. Stanton will be attending the mid-winter conference soon to learn more.

Body The Maywood FBLA pancake supper held recently collected $1,359.00 for the Maywood/ Wellfleet Volunteer Firefighters. They will be presenting them with a check this week.

Body January is gone already, and most were glad to see it and its’ cold temps in the history book. What beautiful days springish days we’re having now! As I write this, I can hear birds chirping so it even sounds like spring. And we’ve been blessed with rain!

Body BEAVER CITY – The Beaver City Council held their regular meeting on February 5. Upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission, the council approved a building permit request submitted by Helen Condrone for the installation of a fence at her property.

Body Several area schools are involved in grassroots movements to bring locally grown and processed beef to the school lunchroom. Superintendent Daren Hatch says he cannot remember the last time the Elwood School District bought beef.

Body Just before 11 p.m. last Wednesday, a Gosper County Sheriff's Deputy discovered an accident while conducting his patrol duties.

Body The Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, February 5, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. After calling the meeting to order, the Council recited the Pledge of Allegiance and announced the open meeting laws posted. All members of the Council were present for the meeting.
