A multi-county group of Patriots is hosting a Republican Candidate’s Forum for all local, state, and federal Republican Candidates on March 17, 2:00 pm, at Bedore Barn/Marlene’s Kitchen (38404 Road 719 McCook, NE) Attendees will have an opportunity to meet and visit with the candidates.

The Beaver City Community Building will be the location of the 2024 Furnas County Republican Convention. Registered Republicans are welcome to attend on March 11th at 7:30 p.m.

March 1, 2024 (Lincoln, Neb.) — Today, the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) announced the Good Life, Great Journey Scholarship Program, a new scholarship for individuals pursuing two-year technical degrees in critical fields.

The dump station at Johnson Lake State Recreation Area near Lexington will close in early March so it can be replaced by a new two-lane facility. Campers will have access to other nearby dump stations operated by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission during construction.

Weather permitting, a crack sealing project will begin March 11 on US-183, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Crack sealing is a process of cleaning and filling open joints and cracks in the surface with sealant to prevent the entry of moisture and debris.

The Nebraska Forest Service will be hosting a free, spring Tree Care Workshop in Eustis on March 28th. The workshop is hosted by the Eustis Tree Board and will take place at the Fair Building on 110 East Alliston Street.
