Last Tuesday, June 3rd, a mountain lion sighting in Beaver City was reported to the Furnas County Sheriff’s office. This first report came from a credible source, a big game hunter who can readily identify mountain lions and other wild game.

Each year, millions of students and their families make the very important decision of whether or where to attend college. For many, it’s the biggest decision they will make in their lives to date.

Almost 10,000 Nebraskans live in certified nursing facilities. These facilities are a home for our seniors, a community where they receive care, meet friends, and visit with family.

Nebraska Wildflower Week focuses on embracing wildflowers and native plants of Nebraska. This celebration will be observed June 1-9, 2024, when Nebraska’s prairies and gardens are typically at their prime. Be on the lookout for some of these prairie gems to be in bloom in the coming weeks.
