A Mass of Christian Burial for Jerome Witte will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Maurice Current officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Orleans, Nebraska with Military Honors provided by the the Orleans Harold Morin Post #184 in conjunction with the United States Army Funeral Honors Team.

Pool Cool certificates awarded to area swimming pools

This summer six community swimming pools received Pool Cool certificates from Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD). The Pool Cool program works with local swimming pools to train pool staff to provide children with education about skin cancer and sun safety during their swim lessons.
