HASTINGS, Nebraska (January 6, 2025) – Hastings College has announced the Dean’s List for its fall 2024 semester. For the semester, 352 students from 22 states and 11 countries were named to the Dean’s List.

Southwest Public Schools was one of the recipients of the school nutrition equipment competitive grant. Southwest Public Schools received $19,081 for a new serving table and warming station at the elementary.

St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oxford welcomed new Pastor Eric Souer and his wife Becca back in October. The Souers arrived in Oxford on October 26 and Eric began his duties on November 3. Pastor Souer has hit the ground running with many memorial and seasonal services right away.

BEAVER CITY – Prior to the city council holding its regular bi-monthly meeting on January 6, 2025, a special meeting was held to fill the vacancy on the sixmember council. During Monday evening’s meeting, one of the first orders of business was Kristy Rogers taking the oath of office.
