HOMES Ministry in Gosper County, has placed a clothing donation box next to the picnic shelter just North of Security First Bank in Elwood, Ne. HOMES is a nonprofit that is designed to provide assistance like home furnishings, appliances, and small home repairs, as well as providing personal items like diapers and shoes. By working together with HOMES Ministry, you can help improve the chances of building a better future for everyone in Gosper County. The clothing donation box will be emptied weekly on Thursdays.
More than 200 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ Commendation List for the fall semester of the 202425 academic year. The Commendation List recognizes students in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, College of Arts and Sciences and/ or College of Journalism and Mass Communications who met or exceeded a specified grade-point average and carried six to 11 graded semester hours.
At the Frontier County Spelling Bee held recently, nine Medicine Valley students qualified for the oral round! Zach T was the Champion and Zoe M was Runner-Up! Congrats to all of our spellers who represented Medicine Valley.

On January 25, 2025, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Testing Ag Performance Solutions (TAPS) program celebrated its eighth successful year with an awards banquet that recognized the top achievers in farm management competitions across the state.
More than 7,300 University of Nebraska–Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year. Qualification for the Deans’ List varies among the eight undergraduate colleges and the Explore Center.
