This past week’s terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, was a shocking and heartbreaking act of hatred. It demands not only our condemnation, but our collective moral clarity. Antisemitism — in any form, anywhere — is a poison that threatens the very values on which this country was founded. We must name it, reject it, and work together to root it out.

Remembering the start of the Korean War’s 75th Anniversary Dear Editor, I, Charles Garrod, a 91-year-old Korean War Veteran, would like to remind you and your readers that this coming June 25th is the 75th anniversary of the start to the Korean War, also known to Koreans as the “6/25 War”. North Korea invaded South Korea with the intention of creating one united country under communist rule on the Korean peninsula.

Burke named Curtis Citizen of the Year

CURTIS – Doris Burke was surprised to be honored with the Citizen of the Year Award during the Community Center’s annual banquet/fundraiser on Friday evening. Burke says she was shocked when Mayor Brad Welch announced her name as this year’s recipient.
