On Monday, August 11, the new 18-member School Financing Review Commission met for the first time to address funding Nebraska’s 245 K-12 school districts. The commission was created via LB 303 this past legislative session.
INDIANOLA-Over 100 people attended the Indianola Historical Society’s meeting on Saturday afternoon in the old Rocket Inn as part of the 152-year-old town’s annual Old Settlers Day celebration. Attendees were shown a video presentation that chronicled moving the historic District 27 schoolhouse and blacksmith shop from the Malleck farm into Indianola.
ARAPAHOE – The Arapahoe City Council held their bi-monthly meeting on August 5, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Connie Hoefs appeared before the council on behalf of the Mission Mall and addressed maintenance issues with the city-owned building.
CAMBRIDGE – Jan tenBensel of Cambridge was elected to the 15-member National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) Board last month in Washington, D.C. during the group’s annual Corn Congress.
