Pastor Dan Wiese and members of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Youth Group of Cambridge assisted with clean up and maintenance at the Cambridge McKinley Park Flower Garden on Sunday. Their assistance was greatly appreciated by the flower garden’s caretakers.

On Sunday, October 5th, a Life Chain will be formed in Indianola along Highway 6 & 34 by the City Park from 2:00 until 3:00. Life Chain is a peaceful and prayerful public witness of pro-life individuals standing for 60 minutes, praying for our nation and for an end to abortion.

Frontier Stitchers Quilt Guild donated 13 comfort quilts to the Frontier County Sheriff’s Department during the Curtis Fall Festival. This was their service project. They are also looking for new members and meet at the Curtis Methodist Church on the 1st Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m.

Saturday tournaments continue to be a thorn in the side of the Maywood-Hayes Center volleyball team. After sweeping South Platte and Hi-Line at their home tournament Tuesday, the Wolves went 0-3 at the Holdrege Saturday.
