CURTIS - During the monthly meeting on November 10, 2025, the Medicine Valley School Board green lit the re-establishment of the Beef Lunch Program with a local volunteer committee of six. The program provides locally grown and processed beef as part of the school lunch program. 0 The board approved the district’s audit as the only formal agenda item.

Great American Smokeout November 20th

The Great American Smokeout is November 20, 2025. Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) supports the American Cancer Society’s annual Great American Smokeout event and encourages community members to take the next steps toward decreasing tobacco use and helping create healthier communities throughout Nebraska.

Work will begin on US-6, near Holdrege

Weather permitting, a crack sealing project will begin Nov. 10 on U.S. Highway 6 (US-6), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Crack sealing is a process of cleaning and filling open joints and cracks in the surface with sealant to prevent the entry of moisture and debris.

Radon Poster Contest kicks off in Southwest Nebraska

Four Veterans honored at Cambridge Program
