The American Legion Post 96, Arapahoe is pleased to announce that Briggs Hill, Trey Downey and Wyatt Soncksen of Arapahoe will join nearly 300 other high school juniors from across Nebraska participating in the American Legion Cornhusker Boys’ State Program May 31-June 6, 2026, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln downtown campus. The annual citizenship program, sponsored by the Nebraska American Legion is designed to provide youths with a better understanding of how city, county and state governments operate.

ARAPAHOE - Some of the best weather on the young season produced some of the best scoring thus far as the Cambridge boys golf team fired a 326 to take second and Southwest collectively shot 343 to finish third at the Arapahoe Invite Tuesday.

CAMBRIDGE - While both team races were dominated by Chase County, which won each team race by more than 80 points, area athletes won the bulk of the medals at the Don Stine Invite in Cambridge Saturday.

Aggie graduates and guests will hear reflections rooted in resilience, leadership, and student success from honored guests and commencement speaker Nathan Nicklas at the upcoming University of Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture commencement.

One person was arrested Thursday, April 9th, 2026, following a two-vehicle headon accident in Red Willow County that occurred just before 2:30pm between mile markers 108 and 109 on the Grand Army of the Republic Highway.
