Resolving Differences with Words, Not Weapons

Body
Last week, America witnessed the horrific assassination of Charlie Kirk. Charlie was a young conservative activist, a husband, and a father of two. He inspired thousands of young people. His mission was simple but powerful: to resolve disagreements through robust and substantive discourse. He welcomed challenges, inviting those who opposed him to debate and engage in open dialogue.

“On the Spectrum”

Body
I had a friend in high school who was generally considered a bit odd. He didn’t dress quite right, never knew how to “read the room,” and often talked far too long and in far to much detail about computers— at a time when very few households even had one.

Husker Harvest Days: Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Body
While I was voting in Washington this week, my staff had the privilege of attending Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island — an annual event that, for more than 40 years, has been a centerpiece for Nebraska agriculture. Known as the world’s largest totally irrigated working farm show, it brings together farmers, ranchers, and industry leaders from across the globe.

Remembering Charlie Kirk

Body
On September 10th, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated. He was known for his creation and leadership of Turning Point USA, a grassroots campus focused organization aimed at providing an alternative message to our Nation’s young adults- a message that undoubtedly contributed to a surge in young voters choosing President Trump in the 2024 election.

Enrollment Growth Reflects Teamwork and Student Success at NCTA

Body
The fall semester is underway at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) in Curtis, and I am proud to share good news about our enrollment numbers for 2025. The University of Nebraska system released its fall enrollment report last week, and NCTA recorded a 6 percent increase, bringing our campus enrollment to 213 degree-seeking students. When we include dual credit high school students, our total headcount is 232.

What Questions Do You Have?

Body
We have all heard it before. Before the end of the visit, the doctor will usually ask, “Do That is usually the precise moment that my mind goes completely blank. Every question I can think of seems silly or embarrassing. I know the doctor is busy so I don’t want to “bother” him/her by taking up too much of their time. I really do not want to look stupid or ignorant. So, I say nothing, smile and the doctor leaves the room shortly afterwards. As soon as that door closes, the flood gates open and all the questions I should have asked bubble to the surface. Now it feels too late to ask them. Sound familiar?

Federal Issues Forum Recap

Body
One of my biggest priorities as your Senator is hearing directly from Nebraskans. I continue to do what I did as Governor. I travel the state, talk to Nebraskans, and listen to their concerns. Last week, I welcomed hundreds of Nebraskans to my annual Federal Issues Forum at the State Fair in Grand Island. I’m grateful for everyone who attended.
