Vehicle collision results in two deaths in Frontier County

Last Wednesday at 9:51 p.m., the Frontier County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 2-vehicle head-on motor vehicle collision on Highway 83, mile marker 30. Preliminary investigation indicates a southbound Plymouth Sedan driven by Thomas Arden of Herndon, Kansas, crossed the center line, colliding head-on with a northbound Honda Sedan driven by Leroy Gray of North Platte.

PHILLIPSBURG, Kan. — Teens For Christ Connection (TFC), based in Phillipsburg, Kansas, sent students on three mission trips this summer, giving teens the opportunity to serve others, grow in faith, and experience ministry in different communities. Teams traveled to God’s Mountain Camp in Rushville, Missouri; Rehoboth Christian School near Gallup, New Mexico; and Roca Blanca Mission Base in Oaxaca, Mexico, near Puerto Escondido.

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) would like to encourage everyone to learn what to do to beat the heat in ’26. Last year in southwest Nebraska, July had the highest number of calls to emergency medical services during the summer.
