Elwood Public School holds concerts
On December 1st Elwood Public School held the first of two Christmas Concerts in the school gym. Participating in this concert were Pre-k thru 4th grade students. Only parents of these students were in attendance at the concert.
Pre-K students Draven Barrow, Logan Benham, Charlotte Brown, Ryann Christen, Symphony Clouse, Walker Dirgo, Kiya Fulmer, Kip Gall, Brielen Hagan, Peyton Heater, Layla Hieter, Ava Jackson, Rylan Kubert, Augustus Schutz, Holley Stoll, Oakley Weissert, Gage Wendland and Lane Wendland recited the Star Spangled Banner and sang Jingle Bells, He’ll Be Comin’ Down The Chimney and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The Pre-K was led by their Pre-school Teacher Jami Garey.
Next to take the stage were Kindergarten students Brock Adams, Benjamin Cunningham, Marilynn Davis, Jaxson Hieter, Emmett Huyser, Ali Lindholm, Maizey Moler, Coltin Nation, Crew Tilson and Cameron Underwood. This group sand Jolly Old Saint Nicholas and Deck the Hall. They also recited the poem Chubby Little Snowman. The First Grade students sang Up On The Housetop and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer and recited the poem Five Little Reindeer. Students are Allison Carroll, Harmony Clouse, Wyatt Dirgo, Korragan Hagan, Maximus Heinemann, Amber King, Bladen McDowell, Luke Morton, Finley Nieman, Breckynne O’Hanlon, Brennan O”Hanlon, Hadley O’Hanlon, Adilyn Perreault, Izekiel Quintana, Avery Roberts, Lakyn Weissert, Michael Wood, Elliot Zackery.
Santa Claus Is Comin’ To Town and The Night Before Christmas were the songs sang by the Second Grade. They also recited the poem Snowman. Second Graders are Noah Benham, Riggin Cole, Reese Cunningham, Emily Edwards, Maleea Exstrom, Harper Fries/Blanton, Rosemary Kraeger, Charlee Lindholm, Jaxson Maier, Taytum Masten, Miranda Nelson, Sabastian O’Brien, Kye Shirley, Lilly Shutts, Jaxen Stoll, Devin Townsend, and Hudson Walston.
The Third Grade sang Nuttin’ For Christmas and Frosty the Snowman and recited the poem A Wintry Night. Third Grade Students are: Tenley Adams, Liam Brell Cody Gruber, Traeston Hagan, Ricki Maier, Burk McDowell, Piper Montey, Benjamin Morton, Sophia Palacious, Kollan Pohl, Ashlee Scharf, Aiden Vacura, Taylor Wood, Allyson Zackery and Christina Zackery.
The Last to sing was the Fourth Grade Class, singing O Christmas Tree and A Holly Jolly Christmas, They also recited the poem Snow Day. Fourth Graders are: Bodhi Corey, Lauren Cunningham, Isabelle Exstrom, Jurnee Harris, Bristol Kubert, Chandy Masten, Troubadour Moler, Aliah Nelson, William Oaklund Klaire Pohl, Adyson Redwine, Berkley Reiners, Jaiden Udstrand, Grace Walston. On Monday, December 7th the Christmas Concert for the Fifth, Sixth, Junior High and Senior High was held. Music director is Nicole Nickell and Accompanist for the Senior High Choir was Kilah Deaver.
The Fifth and Sixth Grade Band started the concert with Good King Wenceslas, Santa’s In The House and In Time For The Holidays. Following was the Junior and Senior High Band playing Hey Man! Christmas Swings, Candlelight Carol, Cowboy Christmas, Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
The Band groups were followed by the Fifth Grade singing Sleigh Ride, A Marshmallow World, and Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree. Next was the Sixth Grade singing Over The River And Through The Woods, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas and Jingle Bell Rock. And last the Senior High Choir singing Snow Is Falling, By Candlelight and A Bit Of Holiday Cheer.

Sixth Grade Students are *Samarha Barrow, *Kara Brockman, Landon Carey, *Bree Annalise Corey, Julea Moore, Destiny Parker, *Adlanez San Pedro, Adrianna Seberger, *Karter Tilson, Kyra Udstrand, Brieanna White and Donovan Woods. designates the members of the 5th and 6th Grade Band.
Members of the Junior and Senior Hgh Bane are Payton Muegerl, Makayla Buell, Kennedy Brell, Connor Edwards, Jostin Grimm, Zailey Moler, Aniston Peterson, Aubrey Steinwart, Lauren Hickey, Grant Beitler, Jaci Muegerl, Kaden Nickell, Alayna Moore, Brooke Brockman, Maria Flores, Shannon Kennicutt, Ciara Lerdall, Julian Seberger.
The Senior High Choir finished up the program singing Snow Is Falling, By Candlelight and A Bit Of Holiday Cheer. Members of the Senior High Choir are: Mickala Clouse, Delaney Collins, Lauren Hickey, Megan Jauken, Zandria Pike, Andrew Scharf and Ethan Weaver.
