Arthur Myrne Marshall, Jr. age 79, of Indianola, passed away at his home on February 11, 2022.

He was born in Julesburg, Colorado, on July 16, 1942, to Arthur Myrne Sr. and Wilhemena “Wilma” (Bartles) Marshall.

Myrne was married to Beverly Kautz and to this union 3 children were born: Robert, Brenda, and Steve. He was employed as an over the road trucker working for Bob Kula in Colorado hauling grain and later oil. In the late 60’s, he hauled military supplies including bombs to be shipped to Viet Nam. He lived in Brush. CO most of his life and in 2009 he moved to Indianola from Pratt, KS to be closer to his brother and sister.

Myrne enjoyed his retirement in Indianola as he was involved with F.R.O.G.s, coffee time at the CO-OP. Myrne frequented the McCook Senior Center for lunch. He was an avid reader. In the summer, he loved to be in his garden, and fishing. Myrne enjoyed seeing kids and visiting with family. He was preceded in death by his parents: Arthur and Wilma; son: Steven; 2 sisters: Marjorie Horan and Dorothy (Paul) Godfrey; brother-in-law: William Kruger.

Myrne is survived by his children: Robert of Las Vegas, NV; Brenda (mark) Mitchal of Post Falls, ID; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister: Betty Kruger of Cambridge; brother: Benjamin (Helen) of Bartley.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church of Cambridge with Dr. Geoffrey Plummer and Rick Bradley officiating. Inurnment will be in the Fairview Cemetery. Friend may leave on-line condolences at lockenourfh.com. Memorials may be left in Myrne’s name to Father Flanagan’s Boys Town. Lockenour-Jones Mortuary entrusted with arrangements.
