DANNY R. POOL

A graveside memorial service for Danny R. Pool will be held on Friday, the 20th day of October 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Nebraska. Lunch will follow the service.

Danny Raye Pool, 68 years of age, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away, on September 18, 2023, at the Emerald Nursing and Rehab Lancaster in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Danny was born in Alma on October 2, 1954, the fourth of six children, born to Warren and Madeline (Ruhs) Pool.

He received his primary education from Alma Public School, and following his education he moved to Martin Luther Home in Beatrice, Nebraska.

When Danny turned 18, he moved to Mid Nebraska Services in Oxford, Nebraska, and worked as a Janitor at the Oxford High School.

He then moved to Holdrege and worked at Artistic Woven Labels for two years before working in the maintenance department at Methodist Memorial Homes for 12 years.

Danny enjoyed riding his bike and could be seen riding around town most days. He was a member of the Holdrege Eagles Club. Danny loved the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Kansas City Chiefs, NASCAR, Diet Coke, and snacks.

Danny was preceded in death by his father in 2016; his mother in 2017; his grandparents; one nephew, Nathan Garcia; and several aunts and uncles.

He leaves to celebrate his life; his siblings: Dennis Pool and his wife, Brenda of Omaha, Nebraska; Michael Pool of Kearney, Nebraska; Patricia Garcia of Lincoln, Nebraska; Connie Garcia and her husband, Tony of Mount Vernon, Washington; and Scott Pool of Everett, Washington; 14 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews; along with a host of other relatives and many friends.

A memorial has been established in Danny’s honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
