Preventing Rotavirus Infections

Body Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) encourages parents to know if their child is protected from rotavirus. Rotavirus is a very contagious virus that causes severe diarrhea. It is most common in babies and young children but can affect older children and adults.

Body Winter weather persisted into the week, holding its grip on recent weather with almost-daily snow and frigid cold temperatures. An extreme cold warning last into Thursday, where low termperatures were forecast to be as far as 20 degrees below zero.
