Body When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. Mary Alexander definitely has the right ingredients for a successful recovery from the stroke she had on March 1 and she has never been more grateful for her local healthcare system and her loving family.

Body The 41st annual Bike Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) began Sunday, June 4th, going through South-Central Nebraska for the first time on a shorter route. BRAN officials chose a southern route this year beginning in Benkelman and ending in Ashland.

Furnas County to Revaluate Commercial Property

Body Furnas County has hired a private company to appraise commercial property, citing insuffi cient property sales as the motivator, the county assessor, Sherry Thooft, said. Central Plains Valuation is a mass appraisal company based in Omaha.

Turkey Days set for this weekend in Oxford

Body Turkey days will take place in Oxford this weekend on June 9-11, providing many activities, games, and entertainment spots to visit for people of the community. Friday, June 9 will start with a Tasting Tea Salad Luncheon at 11:30 a.m.
