(HOLDREGE, Neb.) – The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District’s will lower Johnson Lake on Oct. 8, 2020, to facilitate maintenance on Central’s hydro-electric generation units.

Orleans Applefest draws a crowd

Perfect weather and a lack of events occurring over the course of the summer led to steady crowds at the 2020 Applefest in Orleans on Saturday, October 3rd. With over 50 vendors there was something for nearly anyone.

Golden Generation holding fundraiser

Golden Generation Fundraiser On Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11 beginning at roughly 9 am the Golden Generation volunteers will be serving food during the Scharvin auction, at 600 central st, Oxford.

Oxford Board changes dog ordinance

The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees met on Monday, October 5 at 7 pm at the Village Office. Absent from the meeting was trustee Mike Minarik. All other trustees were present. Also present at the meeting was Clerk/treasurer Becky Calderone and public works director Duane Hoffman.

Get charged in Cambridge

Thru a grant from the Nebraska dept of Environment and Energy, a new dual electric car charging station has been installed at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites of Cambridge. The unit came from a company in California and is a Chargepoint level 2 charger.
