Residents had many calls from close family over the weekend which was very welcome and enjoyable. For Thanksgiving dinner, Lisa Vassar was invited to her sons fiance’s house.

Elaine Haussler went to the home of Ron and Zona Fritz west of McCook to have Thanksgiving dinner. Paula Austin of Oberlin, KS was a guest of her mother, Gara Lee Sprague, to eat dinner on Friday.

LINCOLN, Neb. ,-Preliminary Nebraska deer check-in numbers indicate statewide harvest is down 3 percent compared to 2019 for the November firearm season. During the nine-day season, 42,024 deer were harvested, compared to 43,418 in 2019.
