Area golf teams open season at Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE - Four area golf teams opened their season at the Cambridge Invite last Wednesday at Cross Creek Golf Links. Southern Valley led the way with a fifth place finish and a score of 389 while Cambridge was eighth with a 423.
Southern Valley’s Brody Yant finished third at Cambridge.

BENKELMAN - On a windy day, the Cambridge track and field teams finished as champions and runner-up at the DCS Invite Tuesday. The Cambridge girls dominated the meet, scoring 201 team points while racking up 30 medals.
The Cambridge girls track and field team scored more than 200 points to win the DCS Invite Tuesday. The Trojans won 30 medals and took first in nine of the 17 events.

Christine (Wolfe) Yeager age 51 of Grainfiled, KS passed away at her home on April 5, 2021. She was born on August 20, 1969 to Gale and Mary (Culver) Wolfe. Christine was a 1982 graduate of Cambridge High School. Christine continued her education at Mid Plains Community College in North Platte graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

There were a lot of kids coming out for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday in Arapahoe. There were hunts sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce featuring the Easter Bunny and a hunt sponsored by the Good Samaritan Society for residents there to enjoy.
