In late July, Ben Springer was flown to Kearney Regional suffering drastic effects from Covid-19. He was immediately put on a ventilator and spent 21 days unconscious.
Edison - The Village of Edison is currently undertaking two projects having to do with the water systems in town. The most visible being the water tower project and the lengthier sewer project.

MAYWOOD - After a bit of a struggle for a set against Rawlins County, the Southwest volleyball team needed no time at all to dispatch of host Maywood-Hayes Center at the Wolves triangular last week. Southwest took down the Wolves 25-12, 25-17 as they hit a blistering .429 to sweep the match from one of the top teams in the RPAC the last three years.

CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge girls cross country team took its secondconsecutive title to start the season as all five local schools competed at the Cambridge Cross Country invite Friday morning at Cross Creek Golf Links.
Southern Valley split a pair of duel matches against Class C 1 competition last week, sweeping Cozad while being swept by Gothenburg. The Eagles took down Cozad Thursday in straight sets, 25-14, 25-21, 25-16 behind an offense that hit .202 and a defense that held the Haymakers to a negative hitting efficiency.
The Arapahoe volleyball team nabbed its first win of the season by downing Dundy County-Stratton at a triangular with Hitchcock County Thursday. The Warriors wept the Tigers 25-18, 25-21 while also falling to Hitchcock County.
CAMBRIDGE - The Cambridge volleyball team dropped its first match of the season Thursday with a three-set defeat to Alma. Cambridge bounced back with a sweep of Bertrand to finish the evening 4-1 for the season.
